THE New Police and Crime Commissioner for Lancashire, Clive Grunshaw, visited Burnley to speak to residents.

Mr Grunshaw asked householders about the crime concerns and where they thought the police should concentrate their budget and efforts.

He was accompanied by PCSOs Des Wrest and Chris Jackson, who patrol the town centre and Brunswick areas of town.

During the event, at the Bandstand in Burnley, he spoke to resident Ceridwen Chapman and others about what they wanted from their local police force, including which areas of crime should be prioritised by the force.

Perhaps he and his cronies should resign and give the money saved to the police to do their job instead of telling us the rates need to go up!
