A CHARITY football match, which was being organised in memory of a Thwaites employee, has been postponed.

Organisers had been hoping to hold the fundraiser, for the British Heart Foundation, as a tribute to Eamonn Kilbride, 46, of Padiham Road, in Burnley, in May.

Mr Kilbride died after collapsing while dancing at the Whitehall Hotel, Darwen, during a Christmas party for employees of brewers Thwaites.

Those wishing to keep up to date with any news of the match are advised to visit the Eamonn’s Charity Match page on Facebook.
