Plans to solve Burnley-Pendle school place crisis

PLANS have been unveiled to meet accommodation challenges at a primary school near the Burnley-Pendle border.

Birth rate rises in Pendle have left county education bosses with a headache, especially in the Brierfield and Reedley areas. An additional temporary classroom has been proposed for Reedley Primary, so the school can move towards two-form entry, in future years.

The scheme will be debated by the county council’s development control committee when it meets next Wednesday in Preston.
