Will Smith had a retro treat in store for a talk show audience when he performed his Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air theme rap for them during an ad break.

The Independence Day star was a guest on The Ellen DeGeneres Show to promote his new heist drama Focus, where he stars opposite Margot Robbie.

But for plenty of fans in the audience, Will, 46, is still the badly behaved teenager from 90s sitcom The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air.

So when the show took a break for adverts, the audience were keen to get to their feet and rap along with Will as he performed the well-known theme tune.

Unfortunately, there was an awkward moment where it seemed the rap wasn’t quite as well-known as he thought, when the audience lapsed into a confused mumble – but like the pro that he is, Will carried on anyway and the fans rejoined him for the next line.

The star gamely took on the role of entertainer for another ad break too, this time performing his 80s hit Summertime.
