Here’s David Beckham modelling some of the items in his menswear collection with H&M.
The former England footballer appeared to have taken a leaf out of his wife Victoria’s territory for the new Modern Essentials range, which sees the 39-year-old sportsman wearing tailored suits and minimalist designs which he hand-picked himself.
The father-of-four, who is also the brains behind the Bodywear collection for the high street brand, said: “My relationship with H&M continues to grow. We’ve had a few successful years and we are going on to something else now.
“It’s my selection of items. It’s something I’m really excited about. It’s all about things I wear day to day – shirts, T-shirts, jeans and bomber jackets. We’ve just kept to that. It’s literally stuff I wear day in, day out. This is all my personal taste, what I feel comfortable wearing,” he added.
The Modern Essentials campaign is being shot by director Marc Forster, who directed James Bond film Quantum Of Solace, World War Z, Monster’s Ball and The Kite Runner.
David said: “Marc Forster is one of my favourite directors – I can’t wait to reveal the new campaign with H&M.”
The filmmaker added: “Most of us are familiar with David’s innate sense of style and design. However, it was his acute eye for cinematic storytelling that struck me during the filming of this campaign. He doesn’t make H&M clothing look good, he makes it look great.”
Modern Essentials, selected by David Beckham, and his new Bodywear range will launch in stores and online worldwide on March 5.
