Dopff Pinot Blanc 2011, £11.90, www.slurp.co.uk This Pinot Blanc is from the 11th generation of the Dopff family in Alsace town of Riquewihr.
Melon, peaches and apple blossom all come to mind and the alcohol level is 12.5 per cent.
It's slightly spicy but not overpowering and goes with many different dishes.
