OH Britney, what would we do without you?
The former virginal pop starlet-turned... well, I don't quite know the word for a deranged celebrity who shaves her head and apparently lets her kids play with cigarettes is.
But you've got to give it to her, there's never a dull moment when she's around.
Last night's documentary First Cut: Saving Britney Spears took a look at the million dollar business that Americans have made of Britney's meltdown.
It'’s odd to think that a singer's battle to keep her kids and her figure could have created a $120million industry, but it's true.
Director Bruce Fletcher travelled across America meeting the people who have benefited.
Presumably he doesn't consider himself part of it.
It was all fun and games meeting people from her hometown of Kentwood, Louisiana, who closed ranks and refused to talk about their most famous former resident.
It all turned a bit sad when we got to see Britters being pursued by the paparazzi when leaving a restaurant in Hollywood.
As the paps tussled and pushed their way to a better photo, poor Britney just looked scared.
“I got Britney, we all got Britney, we're all Britney happy,” said one of the photographers.
And what about Britney herself?
“I think Britney was scared. She didn't know what was going on," he laughed.
Is it any wonder she's so mixed-up?
